Government Slowly Taking Control of the Private Sector

If you want to get a glimpse of how the federal government is making its move to take control of, and therefore begin to eliminate, freedom in the  marketplace read this article, “Idiots’ Indeed” published in The Wall Street Journal Digital Network at the following link.

I’m afraid that this is only the beginning.  The question I have is “what will it take to stop this usurpation of our liberties?”  Is it inevitable that we will slide off  the slope into  socialism?  Will we accept the premise that the government will “pay my car payment and pay for my gas” (a comment I heard on the radio from an interview with a young lady at the Obama Inauguration) and generally take care of me, cradle to grave with no strings attached?  Just ask those on the receiving end of the initial “bail-out” money.  The strings are looking pretty serious.
