Following the mad recommendations of Peter Singer made in NYT’s Sunday magazine, it pays to take a look at what is actually in the healthcare bill. It’s worse than you can possibly imagine. Somehow, it manages to be Singer on steroids. Who wrote this bill. It has Singer’s footprints all over it. Peter Fleckstein (aka Fleckman) is reading it and has been posting on Twitter his findings. amazing how Americans will have new Health Care but the Politicians who create it will be able to continue to use the one thhey have been given. 2 seperate worlds!!
When the president and congress decide to sign up with the same help care

End of life counseling – can you say Soylent Green? For those of you who don’t remember this flick, just google it.
Everyone wanted change, well they got it. Better get some Republicans and independents in Congress in 2010 to stop these maniacs. By the way, I’ll decide how my life end, not the government.
These findings are not accurate! If you ACTUALLY read the bill AND its context, many of these findings are plain wrong or taken way out of context. Whoever this Peter Fleckman guy is, he is either not very smart or purposefully deceitful!! Check the actual bill people!!
IF it were up to Republicans we would still be calling on which doctors for health care. They (conservatives) always resist change because they are immature, like a child. THey are always negative when some one wants to fix something that isn’t working. They criticize rather than create. They whine rather than solve problems. They think being a world power bully will bring prosperity to our country though proven wrong over and over again.. Tell me what have the conservatives done FOR this country.
I have taken the step to spam comments by Wayne Edwards. I have done so because his comments were a broad brush characterization of a particular political party in a manner that was not constructive, factual, or meant to discuss the real issues in the health care debate. Sad to say you are the one who has not read the bill. I have reviewed every comment by Mr. Fleckstien and except for his occasional reference to ACORN he is correct. BTW, he referenced each page of the bill and in some cases he referenced the exact lines for reference. So, for your sake, I have provided a pdf copy of the bill on my home page so you (or others) can download the bill and see for yourself just how controlling and dangerous this legislation really is. Happy reading.

DCT, You didn’t understand what I was saying. Taking things “out of context” does not mean the comments aren’t lining up with the references in the bill. Am not debating the accurate line-by-line references between comments and the bill. Am saying that these twitter comments such as “pg 127 Lines 1-16 HC Bill – Doctors/ #AMA – The Govt will tell YOU what u can make” is obviously taken “out of context” and it’s impact is exaggerated. This section of the bill merely refers to how doctors will be getting reimbursed on the PUBLIC part of the plan. NOT how much doctors can make in their entire practice!
The “PG 265 Sec 1131-Govt mandates & controls productivity for private HC industries” comment is ridiculous. That section just talks about trying to modify a productivity measurement index NOT some sinister socialist-like private industry controls being inserted into this bill.
Am so tired of all this incendiary talk about how sinister and horrible this bill is. Let’s stick to the facts and debate this sensibly please. Btw, I’m a life-long Republican but one who wants facts discussed and NOT hyperbole!
Yeah, I read these comments as well, and looked at the direct bill and I gotta say, these comments are taken way out of context, or are posted in way that is inaccurate. I just compared about 5 of the comments that this joker posted, then looked them up with his reference numbers, and I do NOT come to the same conclusion he is – he’s making categorical, far reaching statements that don’t match what is actually being said. Thanks for your comments. Sorry, I have reviewed all of the comments and references in the bill and in just a few exceptions Mr. Finkelstien is correct. Where the language is vague (like most legislation) you can interpret it in broad ways. Which I believe the evicence is that the government will take the power grab road. So why give them that possibility? It is very clear that Obamacare is a massive grab of a 6th of the economy to government control. That fact is no longer in dispute. I’m wondering why anyone would be thinking otherwise? The goal of single payer health care by the Obama administration is clear. We oppose it and you should too.
